InteScene for Script supervisors

InteScene replaces the script supervisor's binder, polaroids and spreadsheet with a continuity tracker built for the reality that scenes are shot out of order. You model any tracked thing, such as a coat or a wound, as a chain of states, and the tool auto-generates the Added, Removed and Changed swap list so wardrobe, props and makeup know exactly what to change and when. AI reads the whole script to propose what to track and compares an on-set photo against a saved reference to flag possible mismatches, always framed as a prompt for the human eye, never a verdict. The Continuity Tracker is a Production-tier tool at GBP 20 a month, with a two-week free trial. Sign up at https://intescene.app/signup.

Keeping the film's look consistent when scenes are shot days apart and out of order, the binder, the polaroids and the spreadsheet.

Chains, states and transitions

Model any tracked thing, such as Sarah's coat, as a chain broken into states for how it looks at each point. The transition view auto-generates the Added, Removed and Changed swap list between states, so wardrobe, props and makeup know exactly what to change and when, even when scenes shoot weeks apart.

AI full-script analysis

The AI reads the whole script plus your breakdown and proposes what to track, the chains, states and transitions, as accept-or-reject suggestions. It is deliberately disciplined, only proposing physical, photographable changes like dirt, blood, damage and swaps, and ignoring mood or emotion. Nothing is applied automatically.

AI photo mismatch detection

Compare an on-set photo against the saved reference and the AI flags possible continuity differences before the camera rolls again, each with a description and a confidence score. Findings are always framed as a prompt for the human eye, never a verdict, so you stay the decision-maker.

On-set tablet capture

A tablet capture mode uses the rear camera to snap reference photos straight onto the right state, tagged with scene, setup and take, with annotation tools and offline-safe edits. On-set triage even has keyboard shortcuts: with an AI finding selected, tap to dismiss, promote it to a note, or unfocus.

Filmed auto-lock

A state locks itself once its scenes are filmed, so finished continuity cannot be edited by accident mid-shoot. That safety rail protects the record in a way a generic notes app cannot.

Frequently asked questions

How does InteScene handle continuity when scenes are shot out of order?

Continuity is built around out-of-order shooting. You model each tracked element as a chain of states showing how it looks at each point in the story, and the tool auto-generates the swap list of what is Added, Removed or Changed between states, so departments know exactly what to set up for any given shoot day. A shoot-day focus mode and filmed auto-lock keep the record straight as you jump around the schedule.

What exactly does the continuity AI do?

It performs two distinct jobs. Full-script analysis reads the script and breakdown and proposes chains, states and transitions for everything that physically and visibly changes, as suggestions you accept or reject. Photo mismatch detection compares an on-set photo against a saved reference and returns possible differences with a confidence score. Both are framed as prompts for the human eye, never automatic verdicts, and nothing is applied without your approval.

Is the continuity tracker usable on a tablet on set?

Yes. There is a tablet capture mode that uses the rear camera to snap reference photos straight onto the correct state, tagged with scene, setup and take, with photo annotation and offline-safe edits. The interface uses large touch targets and keyboard shortcuts for fast on-set triage, so you can run continuity from a tablet between setups rather than a laptop.
