Privacy Policy

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account data: name, email address, and password when you create an account.
• Production data: scripts, schedules, budgets, call sheets, and other content you create or upload.
• Billing data: plan, billing country, and payment details processed by our payment provider (we do not store full card numbers).
• Usage data: log data, device and browser information, and analytics about how you use the service.
• Advertising attribution data: a Google or Reddit click identifier when you arrive from one of our adverts. It travels in the signup link itself; we only keep it in your browser, and only report conversions to Google or Reddit, if you consent to measurement.
• Campaign labels: the campaign parameters the link you arrived on carried, the site that referred you, and the first page you landed on. These describe the advert or link rather than you, carry no identifier, and are never sent to an advertising network — they are how we tell which channels bring people to InteScene, so we record them whatever you answer on the banner.

We use your data to provide and improve the service, including to:

• Operate your account and deliver the features of your plan;
• Process payments and manage subscriptions;
• Provide AI-powered features such as script breakdowns and storyboards;
• Communicate service updates, security notices, and support responses;
• Maintain the security, reliability, and performance of the platform.

We process personal data where we have a lawful basis to do so: to perform our contract with you, to comply with legal obligations, for our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service, and on the basis of your consent where required (for example, for certain cookies or marketing communications). The cookieless analytics signal described under “Cookies, analytics, and advertising measurement” rests on our legitimate interest in knowing how much traffic our own site receives, not on consent, because it neither stores nor reads anything on your device. The campaign labels described above rest on the same legitimate interest, for the same reason: they identify nobody and nothing is stored on your device for them. Cookies, the retained advertising click identifier, and any reporting to Google or Reddit rest on your consent.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate the platform (such as hosting, payment processing, and analytics), under contracts that require them to protect it. We may also disclose data where required by law.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then for any period required by law. We protect your data using industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest, and apply access controls to limit who can view it.

Where data is transferred outside the UK or European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses to ensure your data remains protected.

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

On intescene.com, Vercel Web Analytics provides anonymous, aggregate page-view statistics without cookies or persistent visitor identifiers. We remove the entire query string, including advertising click identifiers, before these page-view events are sent. This basic traffic count is separate from Google measurement.

The Google tag loads on both intescene.com and the InteScene app (intescene.app), and it starts with every measurement permission switched off. Before you make a cookie choice, that means Google Analytics, and Google Ads because our advertising account is linked to the same measurement property, each receive a cookieless signal containing your IP address, browser type and the page you viewed. No cookies are set, no identifier is stored on or read from your device, and you are not identified or tracked between sites or visits. It lets us see how much traffic we have in total rather than only the share of visitors who accept.

If you accept through our banner, we then set Google Analytics cookies, which let us understand journeys through the site rather than isolated page views. Your acceptance also carries into the app: when you follow a signup link from this site, the app reads the acceptance timestamp from that link and loads the same Google Analytics property there, so we can see, in one place, how visits become account creations and trial starts. If you decline, the cookieless signal above is all that continues, and it stops entirely if you block the tag in your browser. Ad personalisation is always kept off, whichever you choose. You can change your answer for this site at any time with the “Manage cookies” link in the footer, and withdraw in-app measurement from your profile's Notifications tab, which also removes the Google Analytics cookies the app set.

If you arrive from a Google advert, the advert's click identifier is present in the page address and is carried into the app's signup link on this site. That pass-through stores nothing on your device. If you accept measurement, we also retain the click identifier in your browser for up to 90 days, so signing up on a later visit is still attributed, and we report a server-side conversion to Google Ads when you create an account or start a free trial. If you do not accept, no conversion is ever reported to Google: the identifier is briefly held server-side for our own first-party ad statistics and deleted within 90 days. If you decline the banner, this site stops attaching the identifier to signup links altogether, and the app sets no Google cookies. Because our Google Analytics property is linked to our Google Ads account, the Google tag on this site and in the app brings Google's advertising container with it; it sets no advertising cookies and fires no conversion, because Google's advertising permissions stay denied unless you accept and ad personalisation is denied either way. Conversions are reported server-side as described above, and Google Analytics cookies are set only once an acceptance has been given, either here or on the app's own banner.

We also advertise on Reddit, and Reddit's pixel works differently from Google's tag: it has no permissions model to start with switched off, and sets its cookie (_rdt_uuid) the moment it loads. So we do not load it at all until you accept. Before you choose, and after a decline, no Reddit code runs on this site or in the app and nothing is requested from Reddit. If you accept, the pixel records page visits and sets that cookie; declining later, here or in the app, expires it. If you arrive from a Reddit advert its click identifier is handled exactly like Google's, except that we keep it for 30 days rather than 90, because Reddit will not accept a conversion more than seven days after the signup. With your acceptance we report the account creation from our own servers, together with irreversible hashes of your email address and account ID that let Reddit match the signup to the advert click; we never send the address itself, no conversion is ever fired from your browser, and we do not request ad personalisation.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you.
